Almost two years ago, my wife and I were blessed with the most incredible gift....our first son. To say that he changed our lives would be an understatement. He is our lives. Before Emerson entered our lives I can honestly say that I didn't understand sacrifice. The moment I first saw him I realized I would do anything for him, no matter the cost.
In parenting I don't believe there is much room for selfishness. If it's given place, the child is neglected in some way. No parent is perfect, but deep down we parents have that desire in us to provide and care for our children.
Emerson has taught me more life lessons in his 23 months of life than I learn in my 29 plus years of living. He truly does help to daily point me to my source, Jesus Christ, everyday.
I love you Emerson Andrew Pomp and always will. I will never leave you or abandon you.
